20 Ans magazine (20 Ans means 20 years in
English)
Kimberly-Clark, maker of Kotex,
seemed to start colorful menstrual
products packaging
and advertising
in the 1980s and 90s in Europe.
At about this time at least one
American fashion magazine experimented
with titles of stories by making them
typographic marvels, sometimes imposing different
colored letters in varying
transparencies on top and beside one
another.
The large text in the ad below
exemplifies a similar typographic painting.
In this spirit I designed the MUM
title on this museum's homepage:
