pad (napkin). The sponge-like central part looks like
plastic or rubber foam (enlargement at bottom
of this page) and apparently could absorb leakage from the pad.
"Frontal" (enlargement below)
seems an odd way of saying "front." Both ends look the same so
it probably means it's the side fronting the pad - which it is.
The shield measures 9 1/2 x 4" (24.1 x 10 cm), the foam pad 5 13/16
x 4" (15 x 10 cm).
