Dolly Madison
was President Madison's wife.
Wikipedia writes of her, "
She was notable for her social gifts
and helped define the role of the
First Lady. Her success as a hostess
contributed to increasing the
popularity of Madison as president."
Time was of the essence when she fled
Washington as the British prepared to
burn Washington and her house, the
White House. Her social ability in
American lore as represented by this
watch lends by association that
quality to menstruating women, a
quality many women would like to have
during this, um, period. And the watch
is dainty,
a word the Tampax people use later as
a goal for women at this time of the
month. So do other
companies. |
