Mimosept mini menstrual pad ad, 1972, Denmark
(Billed Bladet magazine?)
menstruation, women, health, menstrual cycle
A Scandinavian company, Mölnlycke, made this pad, one of many since
the company's founding right after World War II that it celebrated - the
founding, not World War II - in a menstrual products
exhibit in a public museum in Norway.
So, when do you think YOUR city museum will hold an exhibit of menstrual
hygiene items?
An earlier Dutch ad compared
the new adhesive pad with the old belt-and-pad.

Below: The ad cut from a page measures
7 5/16 x 12 3/4" (18.6 x 32.4 cm).
My translation lies below the ad.

My translation of the large text:
It's not enough that a pad adheres by itself

Below: The bottom text enlarged followed
by my translation.
The photo at top right also appears here.

My translation:
"I want a pad that feels soft and dry the whole day," says
Dorte,
"and Mimosept does that. Because it's made a special way so everything
is absorbed into the pad while the surface stays dry and soft.
It's the safest I've ever tried."
