Puberty
Ever since you were born your body has constantly changed. Changes in puberty are faster than at any other period in your life. These changes are both physical and emotional - at the same time they're exciting and confusing. Girls undergo puberty usually from 9-16 years of age, while these developments in boys happen later, usually between 10-17. Both boys and girls are mature around 18 and can create children.
Girls
Shoulders, arms and legs become rounder, breasts begin to take form, pelvis and hips become a little broader and you get a distinct waist. Remember that you get all this gradually and that no one is like the other. Everyone develops at her own tempo.
Your breasts normally begin to develop before you menstruate and they will take a couple of years to become fully developed. The first thing you notice is that the area around the nipples changes color, and afterwards the nipples become larger.
Your body type determines if you'll have big or small breasts. Don't worry if one breast grows faster than the other. That's normal and the difference will even out.
You will also notice that fine hair will begin to grow between your legs and on your abdomen. The hair will become thicker and curlier. You'll also get hair under your arms and on your legs.
One of the most important things that happens in puberty is that you menstruate. Nature outfitted you with certain organs that enable you to become pregnant and have children.

In puberty these organs gradually become more active and each month prepare themselves for a possible pregnancy. The result of this monthly preparation is the menstrual cycle. Menstruation is the loss of a little blood and tissue from the uterus that passes through the opening of the vagina.
All the changes that take place in your body in puberty are caused and regulated by different hormones produced in the body. These hormones also affect how you feel and react at different times of the month.
Many girls have skin problems in puberty. You'll perhaps get oily and unclean skin that can result in pimples. Fresh air, sun and good care of the skin in addition to healthy food with fruit and protein will usually keep your skin nice and clean. Don't use too much makeup and clean the skin thoroughly and evenly. If problems don't go away you perhaps ought to see a doctor.
At this time you'll begin to sweat more. That can cause a bad smell in places it can't evaporate. To avoid such body odor you should wash yourself thoroughly and use an underarm deodorant.
